Canine Blood Drives
Fur-Get Me Not is now an official blood drive center for the Eastern Veterinary Blood Bank (EVBB).
EVBB will conduct blood drives at Fur-Get Me Not every 7 weeks. The following
blood drives are scheduled at our facility for the remainder of 2004:
! April 13
! May 11
! June 29
! August 17
! October 12
! December 7
The first appointment is a simple blood type of each dog (prospective donor) and an orientation for
both the owner & dog. EVBB will walk the owner & dog through what an actual donation will be like,
but they will not collect a unit of blood (practice... if you will). They evaluate and make certain that
the dog is going to tolerate the process. This is done one-on-one with the EVBB staff, prospective
donor, and with the owner present. Please visit the EVBB website ( www.evbb.com) and fill out a
blood drive donor form if you are interested in donating. Then call to EVBB to schedule your first
appointment on one of the dates listed above.
